Musubi & Bento Iyasume Seaside Store Reviews
Wanted to get Musubi for two hikes that we were doing for the day. Craving has been satisfied. Even got the husband to like his first musubi. Overall, will come back here for more treats for our hike. One for each hike was satisfying enough to fuel us!
At the start of one of our Island bus tours, our tour guide came on the speaker to call our attention to this store while our bus passed by. I thought oh wow must really be something! But looking out the window I didn't see anything big and spectacular. Later I walked by, saw nothing but this tiny little hole in the wall and a sweet lady tending store. This is what the tour guide was talking about? Yes! It's a powerful little store with some delicious and interesting tightly wrapped little jewels and touristy stuff. The store tender lady offered me a chair, and I sat there on the street enjoying some of them. Was one of the most enjoyable meals I had on the Island. Haha. Funny that. I also bought a fridge magnet with SPAM in big words on a VW van. Hilarious.
Stopped by this lil masubi shop for a quick bite after our tour bus dropped us off, so glad we did! It's a cute, charming little hole-in-the-wall with an exceptionally nice lady working there. We enjoyed the traditional musubi, one with black pepper, and another loaded with shrimp tempura and avocado. Everything was fresh, tasty and inexpensive at around $2.50/ pc. The lady was so kind and even threw in an extra! I especially appreciated that they had expiration times printed on the musubi. Definitely recommend stopping by to show some love and grab a delicious snack.
This is our favorite musubi place on the island! It is a grab and go place. A lot of selections to choose from. Unlike other musubi places, the rice is just enough with the toppings so you don't feel heavy after eating. Highly recommend.
Not trying to spam anyone here but I love Musubi Cafe Iyasume! I've been to multiple locations and this one was a great grab and go storefront option. There is no seating. Great variety and prices. Picked up some for breakfast, snacks, and plane eats! Staff was very friendly and this location was convenient to where I was at the time. Tried the salmon, teriyaki, black pepper, and the shiso. If you're going to visit this location or any of their others grab a rewards slip. They also had a promo going on to get a free sticker with a $20 purchase. Love my musubis and my sticker! Will be dreaming of these until I visit the islands again!
